Introduction

NAFRI was established under the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAF). Its role is to provide MAF with technical information to assist it in formulating development strategies in relation to government policies, to consolidate agriculture and forestry research activities within the country and develop a coordinated National Agriculture and Forestry Research System. NAFRI has four main functions including: carrying out adaptive research, developing methods, tools and information packages, providing policy feedback, and coordinating and managing research.

Responsible in the ASSET Project

NAFRI is involved in the Flagship Level Action Research and the Capacity Development program, offering a diversity of skills from socio-economic and environmental assessments to marketing, value chain and food systems.
