Project Coordinator

Overall Project Coordination

The Consortium is managed by GRET. The activities carried out focus on mobilization of the project team and technical assistance, coordination and overall management of activities, financial management and audits, monitoring and evaluation, reporting and mid-term evaluation. This overall project coordination aims in particular: 

  • to ensure the linkages between the different sub-components and the different levels of project actions. It is essential to promote transversal actions and to avoid compartmentalization of sub-components; 
  • to ensure strong involvement and ownership of the project results by: local project stakeholders (via the involvement of ALiSEA national secretariats), ALiSEA members, policy makers and other local stakeholders.

Project Scientific coordination

Scientific coordination is ensured by CIRAD, which is responsible for ensuring the overall coherence of the scientific activities of the sub-components by assuring that the conceptual framework of the project (objectives, concepts and associated methods) is shared by all the project stakeholders. It takes care to maintain a systemic, interdisciplinary and multi-scale framework in the conduct of activities. It promote joint and transversal promotion of the results. It ensures the dissemination of the results for training, and within the international scientific community. It contribute to ensure the quality of the strategic scientific publications and the intellectual property right when required.
