Institution:
SEI, Bangkok, Thailand
Study sites:
Regional
Research question and objectives:
Support the development of a conceptual and methodological framework on sustainable impact assessment of agroecological interventions for safe and inclusive food systems and to contribute filling a gap in the literature by assessing in a multidimensional way the socio-ecological, policy and societal impacts of agroecological transitions in SEA.
Approaches and methods:
- Supports the project and flagship site/case study teams in identifying the most appropriate approaches to analyse and evaluate the socio-ecological impacts of agroecological interventions in terms of inclusive and safe food systems, based on the literature.
- Support the development of a conceptual and methodological framework for this type of assessments, that is relevant to specific socio-political and ecological contexts within the ASSET project and allows cross-flagship and case comparisons.
Expected results:
- A list agroecological interventions that have been evaluated in Southeast Asia
- A typology of indicators that have been used to assess agroecological interventions in Southeast Asia
- A list of methods that have been used to analyse the impact of agroecological interventions
